Fortis Healthcare Ltd. has announced an agreement to acquire People Tree Hospital, a multi-specialty healthcare facility located in Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru, for approximately ₹4.3 billion.
According to regulatory disclosures, the acquisition is part of Fortis Healthcare’s strategy to strengthen its presence in key healthcare markets, particularly in South India. The transaction is expected to add clinical capacity and enhance service delivery in the Bengaluru region, one of India’s major healthcare hubs.
People Tree Hospital provides a range of medical and surgical services and caters to a large urban and peri-urban patient base. The addition of the facility is expected to complement Fortis Healthcare’s existing network and support its expansion plans in metropolitan centres.
